Shiva Panchakshara Stotram is composed by Guru Adi Shankaracharya, a great sage of Advaita doctrine. This Shiva Panchakshara Stotra describes God Shiva, his qualities and praises his association with panchakshari mantra ‘Nama Shivaya’. It is composed considering the importance of five letters Na, Ma, Si, Va, and Ya of panchakshari mantra which represents five elements Prithvi (Earth), Jala (Water), Agni (Fire), Vayu (Air), and Akasha (Space) tatvas respectively.
